     Ralph Edward Slade was born on November 29, 1902 in St. John's, Newfoundland.2,3 He was the son of Edward Slade and Johanna "Ann" Chalk.1,4 Ralph Edward Slade immigrated from to Toronto, Peel, Ontario, Canada, in 1918.4 Crossed the US border with his mother, arriving in Buffalo, N.Y. from Twillingate, Newfoundland.5 Crossed the border to return to Toronto after a visit with his brother Albert Small.6 He married Annie, who was born 1902 and died 1970.7 He died in 1989.7 His headstone includes a Masonic insignia.7 He was buried in Saint Andrews Cemetery, St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada.8,7
