     Violet married Paul Slade, son of Edward Slade and Johanna "Ann" Chalk, in 1916 in New York.4 Violet Slade was on a passenger list aboard the Fort St George, sailing from St. John's, Newfoundland and arriving Port of New York on August 28, 1930.3 Violet Eliza Penney was naturalized by the New York Supreme Court Riverhead, NY in December, 1944.5 She was found on a passenger list on September 26, 1945 in St. John's, Newfoundland; aboard the Fort Amherst, sailing from St. John's, NL, arriving at Port of New York.5 She resided at 66 W 10th St in Huntington, Long Island, New York, in September, 1945.5
