     William Slade was born in 1826 in Marshall's Folly, Conception Bay, Newfoundland.1 He was the son of John Slade Jr. and Elizabeth Reynolds [Runnels].1 William Slade was baptized on December 9, 1827.1
     William married Elizabeth Parsons on November 27, 1849 in Perry's Cove, Newfoundland.234 William Slade died on February 23, 1903 in Perrys Cove, Newfoundland, Canada, at age 76.5
