     John married Selina Page on May 23, 1871 in Carbonear, Newfoundland, both of Marshall's Folly3, the daughter of Prudence Thistle & Thomas Page.4 John Slade was a fisherman.5,3 He died on March 21, 1893 at age 43.6 He was buried in Perry's Cove, Newfoundland.6
