     John married Theresa May Slade, daughter of Jordan Slade and Isabella Kelloway, on March 11, 1930 in Salmon Cove, Newfoundland.2 John was a Police Constible, member of United Church of Canada, could read and write, rented a 5 room house.3 John Slade resided in October, 1970; at the time of his mother's death.4 He died in 1986.5,6 He was buried in Riverside United Church Cemetery, Salmon Cove, Newfoundland.6
