     Robert Freeman Slade was born on August 9, 1903 in Salmon Cove, Newfoundland.3,2 He was the son of Edmund Slade and Naomi Wareham.4 Robert Freeman Slade was baptized on September 25, 1903 in Salmon Cove, Newfoundland.3
     Robert married Ethel [?] circa 1927 in Carbonear, Newfoundland.5 Robert Freeman Slade was was the cook aboard the John Cabot ship on November 13, 1937 in St. John's, Newfoundland.6 The John Cabot was a 939 ton vessel registered in 1934 to the Newfoundland-West Indies Steamship Company Limited in St. John's, Newfoundland.7 He died on February 24, 1976 at age 722 and was buried in Riverside United Church Cemetery, Salmon Cove, Newfoundland.2
