According to Sarah Amelia Bronaugh Benson in THE HISTORY OF THE BRONAUGHS IN AMERICA, THOMAS BRONAUGH and his brother FRANCIS BRONAUGH, "sons of SAMUEL BRONAUGH were left orphans at an early age and were probably reared by the BRONAUGHS in King George County, Virginia or by his mother's TALIAFERRO family." She goes on to say that "THOMAS BRONAUGH had a son named TALIAFERRO BRONAUGH and the TALIAFERRO family had homes in King George and nearby counties. THOMAS BRONAUGH's father SAMUEL BRONAUGH died in 1741 and his mother CATHERINE [TALIAFERRO] BRONAUGH died in 1748..."

9. NANCY BRONAUGH, born 3 May 1780 in Fauquier County, Virginia. She married ALEXANDER AUGUSTINE JENNINGS on 9 August 1799 in Fauquier County, Virginia. She died prior to 1860 in Lancaster, Garrard County, Kentucky.
"One of the earliest records of THOMAS BRONAUGH in Fauquier County, Virginia is when he is listed as an appraiser in the Will of Mary Lee in October 1763." the next record of him appears in the document VIRGINIA MILITIA IN THE REVOLUTION by McAllister on page 200: "THOMAS BRONAUGH, gentleman, was sworn in as Captain of a Company of Militia of Fauquier County, May 25, 1778."
CAPTAIN THOMAS BRONAUGH was a Justice of Fauquier County in 1787 and a Sheriff in 1790.
There is also information which claims that "THOMAS BRONAUGH was joint owner, with GEORGE WASHINGTON, the latter's physician, Dr. CRAIK and a Col. MUSE, of some 4000 acres on the Great Kanawha River in that part of Virginia that is now in West Virginia".4

Simon immigrated from to Stafford County, Colonial Virginia, Spring 1676.1 He was born circa 1650 in England.1
Simon married Patience Allen circa 1675 in Colonial Virginia. Simon Thomasin was a carpenter in 1686.2 He was land Simon purchased 700 acres from John Waugh to farm. He had already created a natural sieve to water the orchard of 200 fruit trees he and his wife Patience intend to plant. on October 19, 1686.3 Simon was a juror in the case of Cropper v. Champe.4 Court proceding in the presence of Capt. Malachy Beale, Capt. George Mason, Mr. Robert Alexander, Mr. Edward Thomason, Mr. Richard Tossadrer, Mr. Matthew Thomposon, and Capt. Thomas Crowley, and Indians, Justices; ruled that John Brenton would pay Simon Thomason 500 pounds of tobacco.2 He purchased land in the forest of Passbytangee, Virginia from Daniel McCarty on June 15, 1698.5 He left a will on June 9, 1700; Land in the forest of Passbytangee to son John, Land on the branches of Rappahannock, divided equally between daughters Margaret and Isabell, Residue of Estate in Virginia and England to be equally divided between wife and three children. Wife Patience to be executrix. 9 Jun 1700 - 9 Apr 1701 Wit: Thomas Ballard, Thomas Gregg, Jane Gregg.6 Simon died before 1701 in Colonial Virginia His wife Patience made an inventory in 1703.7 His estate was probated on April 9, 1701 in Colonial Virginia.2
