George Frederick Slade

(16 December 1840 - 14 November 1913)
     George Frederick Slade was born on December 16, 1840 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts. He was the son of William Jennings Slade and Anna Maria Trickey.
     George married Mary Ellen Slade, daughter of Henry Slade and Sally Danforth, on July 5, 1866 in Chelsea, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, (They were first cousins, once removed.)1 George Frederick Slade was tobacconist, cigar maker in Chelsea and Boston. He was the manufacturer of the Kohinoor Cigar, 'Best Five Cent Cigar in the World.' between 1867 and 1891.2 He resided in Chelsea, Massachusetts, in 1888.3 George died on November 14, 1913 at age 72.4 He was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.5

Arthur Clarence Slade

(5 September 1878 - 14 October 1952)
     Arthur Clarence Slade was born on September 5, 1878 in Chelsea, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.1 He was the son of George Frederick Slade and Mary Ellen Slade. Arthur Clarence Slade was Bookkeeper between 1901 and 1925.2
     Arthur married Susanne D. Hooper, daughter of George A. Hooper and Ellen M. McHugh, on May 21, 1901 in Haverhill, Essex County, Massachusetts.3,4 Arthur Clarence Slade registered for WWI draft on September 6, 1918 at Chelsea, Massachusetts.1 Susanne's sister, Nellie F. Hooper, 57, was also living with the family.5 He was Antique Dealer in 1950. Arthur died on October 14, 1952 in Northwood, Rockingham County, New Hampshire, at age 74. He was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, Plot 215 Forest Glade.6

George Patten Slade

     George Patten Slade was born on November 9, 1845 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.1 He was the son of Jarvis Slade and Hannah Thomas Patten.
     George married Cornelia Wheeler Strong, daughter of Theron R. Strong and Cornelia Burns, on March 1, 1870 in Manhattan, New York County, New York.2 George Patten Slade was textile mfr. & realtor circa 1875. George was living alone in 1900, 1910 and 1920 census. He was 74 in the 1920 census.3 George died on August 29, 1926 at age 804 and was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx, Bronx County, New York.4
