William Edgar Slade1

     William Edgar Slade was born on January 21, 1887 in Belleville, St. Clair County, Illinois.2,1 He was the son of Amos L. Slade and Mary Ida Huff.3
     William married second Sarah Agnes Horan, daughter of Robert Horan and Margaret Clancy, on January 1, 1912 in Boston, Massachusetts.2 He was a hospital steward aboard the USS Mississippi.2 He was a dentist in private practice.4 He was registered for World War 2 draft on in 1942 while living in West Bridgewater, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.1
