Sara Esther Moreland1

     Sara Esther Moreland was born in August, 1881 in Zebulon, Pike County, Georgia.2 She was the daughter of Colson T. Moreland and Mary Rebekah Slade.1 The Pike County Journal. Zebulon, Pike County, Georgia, May 27, 1910 had this notice: Announcement has been made of the approaching marriage of Miss Esther Moreland to Mr. Leon H. Rawls, both of Zebulon, which will take place on the evening of Wednesday June 29th. Miss Moreland is the only daughter of Mrs. M. R. Moreland and is a popular and accomplished young lady and enjoys the highest esteem of a large circle of admiring friends. Mr. Rawls is a young business man of high character and is popular and well thought of by many friends who appreciate his excellent qualities. This announcement will be of interest to the many admiring friends of both parties.3
     Sara Esther Moreland married Leon Hope Rawls, son of Alonzo Hope Rawls and Myrtie B. [?], on June 29, 1910 in Zebulon, Georgia.3 She died on October 30, 1957 at age 76.4 She was buried in Fincher Memorial Cemetery, Meansville, Pike County, GeorgiaG.
