Colquitte Slade

b. 11 September 1880, d. 9 December 1949
     Colquitte Slade was born on September 11, 1880 in Zebulon, Pike County, Georgia.1,2 He was the son of James Madison Slade and Pelatiah Winifred Vaughn.
     Colquitte married Mary Lizzie Wilder, daughter of Malinda Wilder, on July 9, 1905 in Zebulon, Georgia.3 He was registered for the military draft in World War I on September 12, 1918 in Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida.4 He was a commercial artist and owned the Slade Sign Company.2 He died on December 9, 1949 in Duval County, Florida, at age 69. He was buried in Oaklawn Cemetery, Jacksonville, Duval County, FloridaG.
