     Emily married James Burton Slade, son of James Madison Slade and Pelatiah Winifred Vaughn, on December 19, 1895 in Pike County, Georgia.6 She died on February 9, 1928 in Griffin, Spalding County, Georgia, at age 56 of tuberculosis.5,3 She was buried in East View Cemetery, Zebulon, Pike County, GeorgiaG.1,2
