George Washington Slade

b. 2 November 1879, d. 2 September 1913
     George Washington Slade was born on November 2, 1879 in Spalding County, Georgia.1,2 He was the son of William Harrison Slade and Prudence Emily Brooks.
     George married Martha Anne Gardner, daughter of William Zedrick Gardner and Caroline Myrtice Cauthen, in 1899. He died on September 2, 1913 in Albany, Dougherty County, Georgia, at age 33 and was buried in Midway UM Church Cemetery, Griffin, Spalding County, GeorgiaG.2
