Samuel Simon Slade1

     Samuel Simon Slade was born on August 1, 1859 in Pike County, Georgia.2 He was the son of Simon Slade and Holland Barrett. His name has caused some confusion because sometimes it is recorded just Simon or Samuel and other times it was reversed as Simon Samuel.
     Samuel Simon Slade married Martha Ann Storey, daughter of Enoch M Storey and Mary Elizabeth Hagan, circa 1878.3 He died on July 24, 1914 in Meansville, Pike County, Georgia, at age 54.4 He was buried in Fincher Memorial Cemetery, Meansville, Pike County, GeorgiaG.5
