Thomas Bog Slade, son of Jeremiah, migrated to Jones Co, Georgia where he founded Clinton Female Academy, which later became Wesleyan Female Academy and is now Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia. He later moved to Muskogee County, Georga where he died. His son James Jeremiah Slade was also prominent in Muscogee County.
