Slade Families in the United Kingdom

The Slade surname first appeared in church and public records in England, and that appears to be origin of the family.  The earliest Slades were found in the South West Region of England, primarily the counties of Somerset, Dorset, Wiltshire and Devon.  This can be visualized by looking at Slade surname distribution maps the 1851 & 1881 census of UK.
