The DNA Overlay Chart below presents DNA evidence in a traditional descendant chart format where lines of descent are arranged in rows and columns.

The DNA Overlay Chart looks similar to a descendant chart in that it starts with a progenitor and proceeds down through generations of descendants. However, unlike a descendant chart, this chart is constrained to the lines of descent between the progenitor and those descendants who have tested in the Slade Surname DNA Project. This makes the chart far more sparse than a typical descendant chart.

The actual DNA participants are still living, therefore they are identified by number rather than name.

You may click on any name to go to that person's web page.

The Slade Surname DNA Project provides an opportunity to identify which Slade branch you belong to and/or to confirm suppositions you may have already found using conventional genealogical research methods.

One goal of the project is to link together branches of the family that cannot be linked otherwise due to lack of documented records. Another goal is to identify and confirm our true ancestral origins. For more information please visit Slade Surname DNA Project
